More Misinformation – US MotorStorm to NOT be 1080p

Geez…another day, another dose of misinformation from Sony. First it was the SIXAXIS Emmy thing (which they’ve officially called a “miscommunication between the two organisations“). Now, the 1080p/60 fps claim for the US release of MotorStorm is apparently untrue, despite a Sony rep confirming it in this video.

1UP has received confirmation that the game will not be 1080p nor 60 fps at this point. It will actually run at 720p and 30 fps.

  1. I’m just waiting for the day when they announce the founding of SCEMT, the Sony Computer Entertainment Ministry of Truth. Kutaragi, Kirai and Karraker will work in GamDep, the Games Department. Their new positions, coupled with the acknowledged use of Newspeak and Doublethink, will finally give them the necessary flexibility regarding information consistency and authenticity to match Sony’s new track record.

P.S. The vid with the Sony rep was really, really painful.

  2. Oh, and if anyone never got a chance to go to E3 or the like and is wondering what it’s like, just watch that video about 30 times a day for three days straight while walking briskly on a treadmill, blaring some lame techno in the background. That pretty well sums up the experience.
