New Forza 2 Vids, Screens, Site, and Hype

Forza Motorsport 2

Another big update on Forza Motorsport 2 giving another glimpse into the forthcoming Xbox 360 exclusive. The new screens show off some of the selection of Japanese racers, and the videos (all nicely compiled at Voodoo Extreme) feature some in-game action, the game’s complete intro, and a television commercial (ohhhh).

Next up, as seen at Gaming Nexus, the Forza team has launched a fancy new portal, http://experience.forzamotorsport.net/. If you’re into flash-heavy websites, you’ll want to check it out.

Finally, CVG has sat down with Forza 2 producer Dan Greenawalt to chat about the game and to, of course, ramp up the hype another notch, talking about how this game can make you a better driver, but certain other games can make you worse:

When asked if he thought people could becomes better drivers if they’re good at Forza 2, Greenawalt replied, “Absolutely. I think the things you learn in Forza Motorsport apply in the real world. A lot of people can play other similar racing games – there are a lot of games that are kind of in the middle of sim and arcade – and they learn that if you’re at the edge of traction and you brake, you’ll get more turning. Well that’s just not true, and it’ll get you killed on a track.”

  1. I would love to see a video of clean multiplayer racing in simulation mode and with the X360 FFB wheel.
