New Sega Rally Screens and Vids Show Track Deformation

Sega Rally Revo

Track deformation seems to be the new hotness in offroad racing games this season, with MotorStorm being the first strong proponent, but plenty of others following in the muddy wake. Sega wants you to be sure you know that Sega Rally also features the same, releasing a series of screenshots to show off the before and after effects of the racing surface. The above picture shows a muddy track at the beginning of the race. The picture below shows the same section of track after just three laps.

The track deformation is of course impressive, but perhaps even more so is the formation of puddles in those ruts, something we haven’t seen yet. The game is certainly looking quite good, perhaps not as good as the first set of pictures of the game we recieved, but good nontheless. 1. I like the way an entire bush manages to grow in just three laps on the right of those screens 😛

Looks like a lot of fun, it’s on the top of my ‘must buy’ list now.
